TBH: Task Bar Hero Class Tier List
In-depth Task Bar Hero class tier list for early game, AFK farming, and boss pushing — Knight, Priest, Sorcerer, Ranger, Hunter, Slayer with reasoning and caveats.
This TBH: Task Bar Hero tier list ranks classes by how much they help a real account: AFK stability, clear speed, opportunity cost, and whether the hero is free. It is role-aware — tanks are not scored like DPS.

How to read this list
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| S | Build around it / claim immediately |
| A | Strong default for its job |
| B | Playable; higher friction or narrower niche |
| C | Not used here — nothing is truly dead |
Slots beat ownership. A paid S-tier hero with one formation slot loses to three free heroes. → Rune Tree
Overall practical value
| Tier | Class | Access | One-line |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Priest | Free DLC | Enables AFK teams; claim day one |
| S | Knight | Free | Default tank; safest opener |
| S | Hunter | Paid DLC | Best mainstream damage ceiling |
| A | Sorcerer | Free | Best free farm AoE / chests-per-hour |
| A | Ranger | Free | Strong early tempo + single-target |
| B | Slayer | Paid DLC | High damage fantasy, harder to AFK |
Early game tier list
| Rank | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Knight | Survives while you learn systems |
| 2 | Priest | Second-slot value king |
| 3 | Ranger | Fast bridge DPS before slots finish |
| 4 | Sorcerer | Fine opener; shines more with gear/slots |
| — | Hunter / Slayer | Buy later; fundamentals first |
AFK / farm tier list
| Rank | Role value |
|---|---|
| S | Priest sustain + party buffs |
| S | Knight frontline stability |
| S/A | Sorcerer pack clear for chests/hour |
| A | Hunter if owned (flexible clear) |
| A | Ranger (works; less AoE than Sorcerer) |
| B | Slayer (watch wipes) |
Default free farm squad: Knight + Sorcerer + Priest. → Farming
Boss push tier list
| Rank | Damage seat |
|---|---|
| S | Hunter (paid) |
| A | Ranger |
| A | Sorcerer (slower on some walls) |
| B | Slayer (needs sustain plan) |
Keep Knight + Priest unless you are running a geared Priest-frontline experiment.
Class notes
Priest — S
Free and still central. Not claiming Priest is an account wound. → Priest guide
Knight — S
Teaches the game’s AFK nature. Rarely a dead slot. → Knight
Hunter — S (paid)
Best “spend money to feel the DPS ceiling” option after fundamentals. → Hunter
Sorcerer — A
Economy hero. If chests feel scarce, your damage seat may be wrong. → Sorcerer
Ranger — A
Early MVP energy; remains a boss tool forever. → Ranger
Slayer — B
Not useless — higher maintenance. Efficiency players often skip. → Slayer
What can move a tier
- Patch skill/stat reworks
- New automation that changes AFK wipe rates
- Gear thresholds that enable Priest frontline comps
- Your personal play pattern (eye-on-window vs true AFK)
FAQ
Why is Hunter S if the game is clearable free?
S means “best at the paid DPS job,” not “required.”
Why isn’t Sorcerer S overall?
Overall list weights AFK enablers (Priest/Knight) and paid ceiling (Hunter). Sorcerer is still the free farm king.
Should I reroll my starter?
Almost never. Slots and Priest matter more than opener perfection.
